who is GReeeeN?
 GReeeeN [also known as The Green] is a four member Japanese group from Koriyama city in the Fukushima prefecture. They made their debut with Universal Music in 2007. GReeeeN consists of four members, Hide, navi, 92 and Soh. The reason they have four e's in the name is to stand for the four members of the band. Before their major label debut in 2007, they released a number of independent singles. They currently have three singles released, with the most current, Ai Uta, having a peak position of 8 on the weekly Oricon charts and 2 on the daily charts. The band's debut album, A, domo. Hajimemashite., was released on June 28th, 2007.

why I like GReeeeN
When I was living in Japan over the summer, I heard "Michi" and "Ai Uta" everywhere I went. The funny thing is, I had no idea who this band was, I had never heard them before [which makes sense because they were brand new!] and I was desperately trying to figure out who it was I was hearing. I finally found them on a little expedition through Kichijouji in Tokyo when I went into a music store and heard "Ai Uta" playing. Since it was my last day in Japan, I ran up to one of the guys working there and blurted out in very rushed and untidy Japanese: "WHO IS THIS PLAYING?!!" He then kindly pointed me over to the huge GReeeeN display. :pSo whenever I hear their music, it makes me think about Japan and all the good times I had there! [And also my sentimental quest to find GReeeeN!]
